  • Core modules

    Managing Knowledge, Information and Finance (ACF7005)
    This module is designed to give managers a complete understanding of the need for and use of knowledge and information within the enterprise, with emphasis on the contribution made to strategic decision making. It will investigate how IT developments such as communication and information systems, the role of and use of financial statements and the use of quantitative methods need to be integrated in the provision of information.
    Leading Change, People and Projects (HRL7007)
    This module will examine the complexities of leading change, people and projects within organisations. Effective and responsible leadership, particularly in times of uncertainty and change is core to success and sustainability of organisations and the world. Through an exploration of both relevant theory and practice, the module enables students to develop a critical understanding of the complexities and contested nature of leadership and management and the opportunities for leading change and developing people. The module provides insights and practical knowledge through the acquisition and application of tools to enable students to lead successful projects.
    Strategy and Marketing Management (MKT7005)
    In this module, you will develop an understanding of the role of marketing and strategy in a range of contemporary organisations, examining the major themes within the strategy and marketing arenas to enable you to evaluate and recommend appropriate actions to fulfil objectives. The module introduces key concepts and frameworks of strategy which will develop your ability to apply appropriate analytical techniques used in strategic decision-making. You will explore the relationships between marketing and strategy and other business functions, using case studies to provide an integrative perspective on aspects of marketing and strategy within organisations.
    Global Logistics, Operations and Supply Chain Management (STO7011)
    The effective and strategic management of global logistics, operations and supply chains is critical to the success of organisations. Combining theory with practical knowledge, this module provides students with an in-depth examination of the tools and techniques required to tackle the challenges faced by organisations.
    Capstone Project (PBS7000)
    In this capstone project, you will synthesise and apply learning from the taught element of the programme to a project of your choosing. There is scope for you to undertake a broad range of project types, including consultancy, business analysis, business development or academic study.

Entry requirements
Undergraduate degree
Normal minimum entry requirements are a Lower Second / 2:2 class honours degree or equivalent.
Other qualifications and relevant experience will be considered on an individual basis. Work experience not required.
RPL
Applications for the accreditation of prior learning will be considered by the Programme Leader on a case-by-case basis in accordance with published ҹèÊÓƵ regulations.
Language requirements
Candidates whose first language is not English require IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 5.5 in each element) or equivalent. Find out more about English language requirements . If the applicant's English language does not meet the above standard at point of application there may be an opportunity to complete one of the University’s pre-sessional English language courses.

Most of our taught programmes begin in September. Applications can usually be made throughout the year, and are considered until programmes are full.

Before you apply

Familiarise yourself with the information required to complete your application form. You will usually be required to supply:
  • evidence of qualifications (degree certificates or transcripts), with translations if not in English, to show that you meet, or expect to meet the entry requirements
  • evidence of English language proficiency, if English is not your first language
  • a personal statement of approximately 250-400 words about the reasons for your interest in the course and outlining the nature of previous and current related experience. You can write this into the online application form, or include it as a separate document
  • your curriculum vitae or résumé, including details of relevant professional/voluntary experience, professional registration/s and visa status for overseas workers
  • proof of sponsorship, if applicable.

What happens after I apply?

You will normally receive a decision on your application within four weeks of us receiving your application. You may be asked to provide additional information; two academic/professional references, confirming your suitability for the course; or to take part in an interview (which in the case of overseas students may be by telephone or video conference) and you will be sent a decision by letter or email.
