The JBI Centre of Excellence at the ҹèÊÓƵ is one of over 85 globally networked entities promoting and supporting the use of the best available evidence to inform decisions made at the point of care. 
The Centre‘s work is underpinned by the JBI Model of Evidence-Based Healthcare. Its five core work themes are a focus on local health priorities, evidence generation, evidence synthesis, evidence transfer, and evidence implementation.
The multi-disciplinary Centre is led by experienced academic clinicians and researchers. It is part of the University’s Faculty of Health and works in collaboration with the region's network of South West Clinical Schools . 
We are committed to:
  • collaborating with clinical partners to tackle established clinical priorities through evidence synthesis and implementation.
  • delivering high-quality training on systematic review methods and evidence implementation models in practice.
Our expert team delivers short courses and bespoke workshops locally, nationally and internationally. Our work provides knowledge and information that influence policy, research priorities and clinical practice developments across all health and care sectors and settings.

The JBI Systematic Review Training Programme

The JBI Comprehensive Systematic Review Training Programme is delivered by expert and accredited trainers from the ҹèÊÓƵ and Clinical School partners. It is a four-day programme that prepares researchers and practitioners to develop, conduct and report robust, high-quality systematic reviews.

JBI Global Event
Implementing Research into Practice: A JBI gLocal Solution Room
This free annual global event aimed to provide pragmatic solutions to challenges in getting evidence into practice in local settings. During 23–27 June 2025, there were 31 locally held Solution Rooms in 20+ countries. The ҹèÊÓƵ's JBI collaborating centre – the Centre of Implementation Science – hosted its Solution Room on 24 June 2025.

Eight years after the JBI Centre of Excellence was established in the University’s School of Nursing Midwifery, the Centre was given a new name to reflect its achievements and progressive work in the world of implementation science.
The webinar introduces the Model for Evidence Implementation and, through the lived-experiences of their Chief Nurse Research Fellows, shared how they were tackling the model’s seven steps in real-life through their own evidence-informed change projects.

The JBI Collaboration is the largest global collaboration to integrate evidence-based healthcare within a theory-informed model that brings together academic entities with hospitals and health systems.

JBI considers evidence-based healthcare as decision-making that considers the feasibility, appropriateness, meaningfulness and effectiveness (FAME) of healthcare practices.
