Adrian joined the University in 1997, having previously worked in a number of programming, technical support and IT Management roles for organisations in the private sector covering Insurance, Hospitality and Tourism, Professional Services and Medical Systems. Initially part of one of the Faculty-focussed support teams, Adrian then took a number of technical management roles within the IT Department, during which time he lead on a number of projects, including the virtualisation of the University's Data Centre compute and storage environments. In 2013 Adrian became the IT Supplier Manager, looking after all the centrally managed third party IT Services.

In 2022 Adrian became the Head of IT Service Assurance and Compliance, responsible for the teams that deliver IT Information Security, IT Supplier Management, IT Quality and Planning, and TIS Projects
