Placements with the School of Health Professions provide fantastic collaboration opportunities in AHP workforce development. 
Our multi-professional school includes programmes in:

  • 8Physiotherapy

  • 8Paramedicine

  • 8Occupational therapy

  • 8Dietitians

  • 8Podiatry

Placement dates

Placements are of varying length, pending profession and stage of learning.  
Please see below a summary of the placement dates for academic year 24/25.
Programme Placement Dates
Occupational Therapy  Placement 1   April – May  / 6 weeks 
Placement 2   October – December  / 9 weeks 
Placement 3   January – March / 13 weeks  
±Ê³ó²â²õ¾±´Ç³Ù³ó±ð°ù²¹±è²â  6 week placement opportunities are available throughout the year
¶Ù¾±±ð³Ù¾±³Ù¾±²¹²Ô²õ  Placement C  Year 3  Jan – March / 12 weeks
Placement B   Year 2  May – July / 8 – 12 weeks
Placement A   Year 1   April – May / 1 – 2 weeks
Paramedicine 1-2 week placement opportunities during January, February and April

Supervisor training 

New Educators are invited to attend Educator Training sessions, accessible online or face-to-face. Training updates are recommended every 3 years. Topics focus on supporting learners in practice, assessment documentation and also provide access to University online Educator Resources. 

During placement

Each placement has a Link Tutor/Placement Team if any support is need.
