Students and Ambassadors on campus during an Open Day, sitting in the sun outside the Students' Union entrance
Save event
Our information day is for students who are applying through Clearing or current applicants for 2025 entry, to provide a final opportunity to learn more about the University and our city before starting in September.
At the event you will be able to:
  • chat with course academics and student ambassadors to get all of your final questions answered
  • talk to our accommodation team to finalise your accommodation for September
  • speak to our support services to get any questions answered before you start
  • take a tour of the campus with one of our student ambassadors
  • enjoy a walking tour of the city to see just how close we are to the beautiful seafront.
Please note, not all subject areas will be represented at the event. If your subject is not represented based on your course selection on the booking form, we will contact you to try and put you in touch with the course lead separately to the event.

Help with travel costs

Travel bursaries
We are pleased to be able to offer attendees coming to our upcoming Clearing information day a contribution towards their travel costs (please note this is subject to residential UK postcodes and excludes certain postcodes).
This will be in the form of a pre-loaded e-voucher which can be used for online purchases or loaded on to Apple or Google pay.
To claim your e-voucher you will need to head to the Information Desk in the Roland Levinsky Building at a point convenient to you during the event to complete your claim form. You will then be emailed your voucher no later than a week after the event.
• PL postcodes are excluded from this offer
• for postcodes outside of these regions – £40.
Please note, travel bursary claims can only be made on the day of an eligible event. Only one claim can be made per booking. For any questions about the travel contribution, please do not hesitate to get in touch – studentrecruitment@plymouth.ac.uk.
Rail discount
You could enjoy over 50%* off your rail fare for your visit
We're pleased to offer a 20% discount on Advance Purchase tickets** with Great Western Railway. You can also combine this with your Railcard for a total discount of over 50%. This discount must be applied at the point of purchase via the GWR link provided in your booking confirmation email. If you cannot find this link, please email studentrecruitment@plymouth.ac.uk. We cannot reimburse tickets already purchased.
*The over 50% discount is calculated using the 20% GWR discount plus any discount from a valid railcard. Without a valid railcard, only 20% discount will apply.
**This offer is on Advanced Purchase tickets only and is only valid on designated dates. We have the right to withdraw this offer to individuals. For more information, please email studentrecruitment@plymouth.ac.uk.
